Braciole is an Italian dish that is so easy to prepare and cooks for a long period of time then enjoyed fork tender.
I normally us a flank steak that is pounded very thin but you can use other meats such as chicken or pork. You can fill braciola with spinach, garlic roasted red peppers, grated parmesan cheese. I never add breadcrumbs but you can certainly do that if you desire. Sometimes I may add in ground sausage, prosciutto, mushrooms, onions or other vegetables that may be handy in my pantry or refrigerator.
I used to make braciole for my kids when they were little. I would prepare the beef (including pan searing the outside) the night before then putting in my slow cooker with tomato sauce and let it go for the day. The house smelled amazing when we got home in the evenings and dinner was ready.
When preparing your braciola be sure to tie the roll to keep it together while cooking. If you don't have any at home just ask your butcher.
Here are my braciola recipes. I hope you enjoy them.. xo Cindy
