Bacon Wrapped Asparagus and Scallops

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Ingredients

  • 30 asparagus stalks, hard base removed
  • 10 slices bacon
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

    Preheat your oven to 450 F.

  1. Wrap each bacon slice around a bundle made with 3 asparagus stalks and secure with toothpicks.
  2. Place on a baking sheet lined with foil and season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Place in the oven to cook for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the bacon wrapped asparagus from the oven and serve alone on a platter or with your favorite dip or just enjoy alone. I did add a few thin slices of parmesan cheese for a garnish. I am Italian….

Scallops Wrapped in Bacon Ingredients

  • 2 pounds bacon (regular sliced, not thick)
  • 2 pounds sea scallops, medium size and remove the side-muscle
  • Toothpicks to secure bacon

Directions

    Preheat your broiler

  1. Cut bacon strips in half.
  2. Wrap a piece of bacon around each scallop; secure with toothpick.
  3. Arrange the wrapped scallops on a baking sheet.
  4. Broil 5 inches from heat for 3 minutes per side, or until bacon is crisp.
  5. Remove and garnish plate, enjoy!
