Tacos with Almond Meal Pizza Crust

My kids always loved taco night!  Now we have a Paleo taco night and just love them. I also enjoy these when my girlfriends come over for lunch.

  • Taco seasonings set aside (2 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. F

  2. Brown the beef (or chicken) in a sauté pan over medium heat.

  3. Drain any fat and add 1/4 cup water and taco seasoning to the pan and sauté until sauce thickens a little and meat is well seasoned.

  4. Directions for Crust:  Whisk the almond flour, eggs, oil, baking soda, salt, taco seasonings and chili powder together.  Using your hands, form the dough into a ball.

  6. Place the ball of dough in the center of your prepared pan.

  8. Bake the crust in your pre-heated oven for 15 minutes. While your crust is cooking, prepare your toppings.

  9. Add the ground beef and your taco toppings.

NOTE: I like to add the meat and cheese on the crust then put back in the oven for 5 minutes, then add all of my toppings!
