Lemon Butter Baked Tilapia Fillets

Are you trying to get your kids to eat seafood?  Try tilapia as its very mild and take on flavors.  You can serve with vegetables or over pasta.  Try my Paleo seafood recipes for your family.  

For a side I grated up summer squash and did a quick sauté with unsalted butter, fresh parsley, thyme, salt and pepper then squeezed a little lemon juice. Perfect!  

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tilapia fillets (2 pieces)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 lemon sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Line a baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper.  Brush the parchment with butter then place the fillets in a single layer.

  3. Brush or drizzle the butter to coat then season with salt and pepper.  Lay lemon slices on top.

  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes.  Enjoy with your favorite side dish!
