When creating Tuscan flavors remember a few key elements. Tuscan flavors include a blend of fresh vegetables and herbs. Lightly sauté to bring out their flavors and textures. This will help you create true Tuscan dishes every time.
I love using ground turkey for my Tuscan burger. Go ahead and enjoy this flavorful burger on a chopped salad and enjoy!
In a large bowl add in ground turkey. Make a cup in the center of the turkey and drop in the egg and start to whisk. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper. Set aside!
In a medium sauté pan over medium heat add in olive oil. Once hot add in pepper and onion then season with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.
Sauté for 2 minute then add in garlic, arugula or spinach, basil, thyme and red pepper flakes for 1 minutes. Remove from heat.
Once the vegetables are cool add to the bowl of turkey.
Mix well using your hands and create 4 burgers. Heat your grill at a medium-high heat.
Grill burgers for 6 minutes per side (flipping once) or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees. Enjoy!
