Mint and Basil Pesto

This Mint and Basil Pesto is another one of our favorite when we prepare lamb.

As an appetizer I spread over fresh bread and top with a tomato bruschetta.

You can prepare this quick pesto in your KitchenAid® 3-Speed Blender or Ultra Wide Mouth™ Series Food Processor . Make a double or triple batch and freeze in ice cube trays or mini-containers for later use!

Great in! Eggs, Pizza, Calzones or Garlic Bread, Add flavor to Stews or Soups! Enjoy fresh pesto all year..



  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped


  1. Toast the walnuts in a small pan on medium heat for 5 minutes.

  2. Combine the basil, mint, and oil in your KitchenAid® 3-Speed Blender until smooth. Add the toasted walnuts and garlic and blend until pureed.

  3. Add the lemon juice and salt; blend once more.

  4. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
