Jake's Pumpkin and Apple Meatloaf

You should all know by now how  much I love my Jake!  He loves pumpkin and apple so I thought a meatloaf would be a great recipe for him.  He will just love it crumbled in with his kibbles!

My plan was to make it in a loaf pan but they are all packed.  Until we move I need to be a little creative in the kitchen.  This was easy; I just formed the loaf on a lined baking sheet and it worked perfect.  We actually cut the loaf and half and Jake shared with his BFF RJ.

I hope you make this recipe for your dog - I am promise you lots of kisses..

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can pumpkin (pure)
  • 2 apples, shredded
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.

  2. In a bowl combine beef, pumpkin, apple, egg and whole wheat flour.  After combined well place in the middle of your prepared baking sheet.  Form a loaf.  I formed mine about 1 inch think so it was easy to cut into square.  Be creative and form how you desire.  Bake for 30 minutes or until beef is fully cooked.  Let cool, slice and let your pup enjoy!
