I like to make this in mini-loaf pans. Leave one out and freeze the rest.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Boil the water; pour over the dates. Let cool.
Mix the remaining ingredients together; stir in the cooled date mixture.
Grease the bottom of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Pour into the pan; bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
