It's Friday and we are at the lake. I want to cook and invited my lake neighbors over for a paleo chicken marsala dinner (recipe will be up tomorrow) and knew there had to be a chocolate dessert. Looking around the kitchen I took out all of the ingredients and put them together for a yummy Chocolate Cherry Cake Squares Paleo dessert!
This picture is it just coming out of the oven and once I made the ganache and serve there will be more pictures to share but I wanted to get this post out to you stat... Enjoy.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
I a medium mixing bowl combine coconut flour, tapioca flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, coconut oil and vanilla extract.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix together until well mixed.
Fold in chocolate chips and fresh cherries.
Pour batter into a 9x13 baking dish for 22 minutes
Directions for Chocolate Ganache:
Put all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Set on high for 1 minute 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and mix with a small sized rubber spatula until chocolate is melted and creamy. Drizzle over your cake!
