Sometimes you just want Chinese food but not all of the calories and MSG from takeout. It's so easy to make better than takeout Chinese food at home.
I served this dish with my Cabbage and Cauliflower Fried Rice and Scallion Pancakes. All Paleo and delicious. Enjoy takeout Chinese at home!
Heat olive oil in a sauté pan medium high heat. Add chopped chicken and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Stir in garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and ginger to the chicken and let cook together for 1-2 minutes while stirring around together.
Move from heat and toss in scallions. Taste for any additional seasoning. Put in a bowl. Then add your lettuce on a plate.
To serve add a large tablespoon of chicken in the lettuce. Top with soy sauce or coconut aminos. Fold or roll and enjoy!
Note: If you like it a little spicy then top with a little sriracha! That's what I do and it is very good. Enjoy
