Broccoli and Cauliflower Gratin

This is my favorite side for rack of lamb or a roasted chicken dinner! Broccoli and cauliflower Gratin just go so well together and this side dish is always a big hit. You can make in advance for company and just warm before serving!


  • 1/2 head cauliflower, florets
  • 1/2 head broccoli, florets
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs (I used Italian style)
  • Cooking spray


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. Coat a baking dish with cooking spray.

  3. Add cauliflower and broccoli

  4. In a small bowl combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, sat and pepper and mix well with a fork.

  5. Pour on cauliflower and broccoli, Take the shredded gruyere and evenly layer to the top of the mixture. Then add breadcrumbs.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and there is a crispy crust on top.

    NOTE: I add a little of shredded gruyere on top of my serving dish!
