Banana Protein Donuts

I wanted to change my breakfast around a little and decided to make these donuts. They are the texture of a soft tea bread.  Really yummy!  At the last minute before I put them in the oven I sprinkled on some unsweetened coconut. That was a great idea..  Yummy....



  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein
  • 2 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Oil for coating donut pan


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Brush with oil (coconut oil or olive oil)

  2. In a large bowl mash the banana with a fork.  Whisk in the eggs.  Whisk in the protein and coconut flour.  Then add in the coconut sugar, applesauce, vanilla, baking soda and salt.  Combine until combined well.  

  3. Divide batter in your donut pan.  Top with coconut.  Bake for 15 minutes or until the donuts have risen and begin to become golden.
