Jake is my official recipe taste tester and he loves when I make him treats.  Jake is a picky dog (not sure where that came from) and he likes a softer treat.  I made these in my min-muffin tins and share with his friend RJ and cousin Ella!  Happy doggies...   Love them..  xo

These are just adorable and Jake tested and approved!  You can use any cookie cutter but I thought the Christmas tree was perfect. I sprinkled a little dried parsley which is good for their bad breath!

Actually Jake loves any chicken! I bought a rotisserie chicken for my chicken tortilla soup and took some of the darker meat and made my little boy a treat! He enjoyed every bite!

Well it's apple season and I decided to make Jake a cake!  We just love our Bialetti cake pan!

I really enjoy making Jake healthy treats! He loves them too. I was just enjoying an individual unsweetened applesauce and Jake was staring at me so I gave him a tasted and he loved it. Then I decided to make him a treat of apple cookies.

Here we go!

You can use any of your favorite cooking cutters for this biscuits.  I always see dog biscuits cutters and other fun cooking essentials at Home Goods for my pup!

Even our pets celebrate a birthday... And of course we celebrate Jake's birthday in style... He get's his own birthday cake. I love making cakes in a cute mold for him to enjoy.

Another special treat for Jake!

Jake loves chicken jerky but it gets expensive. I bought 5 pounds of chicken breast for 1.99 per pound and used about 2 pounds for Jake and the rest for us. I put them in individual freezer bags. Left some in the refrigerator - it is good for a couple of weeks then the rest in the freezer to take out as needed. Jake really loves this dehydrated chicken. I do not have a dehydrator but the oven worked fine. This is what I did to make these yummy homemade treats for my wonderful dog - Jake!!

I love making Jake many of his treats!  I know what's in them and he is so cute how is just sits with me in the kitchen waiting to eat up some treats!  He is such a great dog and makes us very happy.

You should all know by now how  much I love my Jake!  He loves pumpkin and apple so I thought a meatloaf would be a great recipe for him.  He will just love it crumbled in with his kibbles!  

My plan was to make it in a loaf pan but they are all packed.  Until we move I need to be a little creative in the kitchen.  This was easy; I just formed the loaf on a lined baking sheet and it worked perfect.  We actually cut the loaf and half and Jake shared with his BFF RJ.

As I was organizing my pantry there were 3 cans of salmon and immediately I thought of Jake!  I made him salmon sliders..   Love my dog...

If you know us – then you know Jake! He is our Jack Russell that we love so much. Since he is part of our family I will be making him a Thanksgiving treat. Using some of the turkey from dinner.

I have heard different stories about dogs and turkey. Jake has had turkey but I only give him a little at a time and he has always been fine. If you are unsure then only give a little at a time or use chicken for this recipe.

My husband keeps telling me that I created how picky Jake is when it comes to eating and treats.  He will eat some treats (mostly high end all natural) and ones that I make him.  If you know me then yes I am guilty.  Jake gets either an over easy egg or leftover steak, hamburg, salmon or other good quality protein with his morning kibbles.  

I know he is a DOG but he does know when I am baking or cooking for him.  I decided to make him some brownies and he shared them with his friends RJ.

Jake is not a fan of peanut butter except for when I combine it with bacon! He really enjoyed this treat. He loves peanut butter bacon treats!

I made these with my granddaughter Brooke and she thought it was funny that we were making Jake treats. 

We have so many dogs in our family and I love to make cookies for them to enjoy!  These were packed in their gift jars for Christmas!

I was making a pumpkin bread and 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree left over and decided to make Jake cookies. We brought some for his cousins to enjoy for Thanksgiving!

We love our dog Jake and really care about the food and treats that we feed him.  I like to make him treats that are healthy and fun.  We have Jake's approval on this one!

These pumpkin nutbutter and bacon balls are so easy and no bake!  You can use peanut butter but we always have a nutbutter in the house!  Enjoy

Jake loves pumpkin and it's so good for our dogs!  I also added these in the Christmas jars.  

We are heading to our friends house in Killington, VT and I will be making dinner for 10-12 guests while everyone skiis.  I am not a skiier and much happier in the kitchen!

Of course I need to make the doggies a special treat for the weekend too!

I just love baking for Jake! Soon there will be two that will be enjoying healthy snacks from mom! These are so healthy and delicious for your pup.. Make my sweet potato, apple and bacon mini-pupcakes. I made them little because Jake is a little guy and I don't like to give him a lot of treats. You can make them any size you want or even in a baking dish and just cut up into pieces!
