Panettone is a sweet bread originally from Milan, usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas through New Year in Italy and Italians in America!
You can slice it up and enjoy with a cup of tea, make french toast or my trifle! Any way you decided to enjoy this sweet bread will be a great treat!
In a large bowl or baking dish whisk eggs and add in cream then cinnamon. Combine well together.
Take slices of panettone and place in the egg batter and flip over. Let sit while you heat the grill pan over medium-high heat. Add about 1 tablespoon of butter and let melt.
Add each slice of dipped panettone on the grill pan. Sprinkle the bread with a little extra cinnamon. cook each side until brown; about 3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until brown.
Remove from pan and put on your plate or serving platter. Add a little extra butter and drizzle with warm maple syrup and enjoy!
