CrossFit/Paleo
Home chef Cindy Anschutz was introduced to CrossFit and eating healthy simultaneously, and since 2010, she’s made it her mission to educate others about their symbiotic properties.

How Do CrossFit and eating right Tie In?

  • CrossFit requires intense bursts of exertion, and focusing your diet on lean proteins and clean carbs gives you the energy you need.
  • Eating a clean diet (no bad carbohydrates) has proven to increase endurance. CrossFit’s combination of calisthenics and cardiovascular training requires durability and stamina.
  • The healthier diet promotes the burning of fat as fuel and improves digestion, both important to the avid exerciser.
  • CrossFit training and the healthy diet have been used in conjunction to prepare practiced athletes, police officers, members of the military, fire fighters, power lifters and others whose professions require high levels of health and fitness.

I would like to announce my friend Adam Farrah. You will be hearing from us and seeing us together in the kitchen!

Adam came close to death from Ulcerative Colitis during his stressful and sleep deprived career in the Biotech field and found his way to Paleo eating and living in his relentless efforts to regain health. Now fully healthy, happy and Paleo, Adam lives and trains in the tiny shoreline town of Old Saybrook, Connecticut where he grew up.

Adam’s blog is Practical Paleolithic.

From a Fan of Entertaining Paleo

I have been eating paleo since Jan 2nd…and have lost 45lbs and went from a size 14 to a size 6. I have so much energy and love my workouts. I was stuck thinking my hormones, age 63, were the reason I couldn’t drop any weight and the reason I had gained the weight to begin with…our Crossfit coach told me to try Paleo for 30 days and see what happened. I didn’t want to go on Cholesterol meds so that was also an incentive. Within 8 weeks I had lost 38 lbs and my blood work is perfect. I will NEVER go back to eating like I did.

Your delicious recipes help keep me motivated and I love the taste of food, real food!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend,
    D. Sutton
